Within the department ‘Public Mental Health’ we are looking for a project lead 'Mental Health System Change'.
This is the right fit for you if you've got strong project management skills, work experience in international and Dutch projects & teams, and would like to have an impact in improving mental health for entire populations.
About the role
In this role, you will be leading projects focused on improving public mental health nationally and internationally in diverse settings such as healthcare, schools, and community environments. You will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of key mental health programs, including evaluating community-based care, suicide prevention strategies, and mental health promotion activities across the globe. You will ensure the sustainability of community mental health services in multiple countries and collaborate with project teams spanning four departments within the Institute, external experts and organisations involved in project delivery.
As a project leader, you will be the backbone of multiple project teams, ensuring that all activities are progressing on schedule, setting clear deadlines, and holding yourself and your team accountable for delivering results. Your ability to navigate complex political and cultural landscapes, both internally and with international partners, will be crucial for success in this role.

What we offer
The initial contract will be for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension. The salary is based on qualifications and experience within the range of minimum € 4.272 and a maximum of € 5.548 gross per month (based on 36 hours) according to FWG scale 60. We offer an inspiring work environment with good fringe benefits in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for mental health care, including a year-end bonus of 8,33%, travel reimbursement and inclusion in our pension plan. You will receive a work laptop and other facilities, a good balance between working from home and working at our office in Utrecht, and different opportunities to participate in our Vitality program.
